Project a line trace (ExpressionEngine.traceLine) onto its DTO, following
every input. The engine already bounds a trace’s depth and size (maxDepth,
maxLines); the walk here is a loop over an explicit stack all the same, so
no trace can exhaust the call stack on the way across.
