This site describes solve-engine as it is on main: 2.43.0, which npm does not have yet. npm installs 2.40.0, so a page may show an answer that version does not give yet.

createBuiltinNormalizerRules

function createBuiltinNormalizerRules(): NormalizerRule[];

Defined in: packages/engine/src/normalizer/BuiltinNormalizerRules.ts:284

Creates built-in non-phrase normalization rules.

Returns implicit multiply insertion (priority 50).

Prefer calling implicitMultiplyRule directly with a canStart predicate wired to the normalizer’s phrase trie:

normalizer.register(implicitMultiplyRule(50, (w) => normalizer.canStartPhrase(w)));

Without the predicate, this function falls back to a hardcoded PHRASE_START_WORDS set that won’t reflect package-registered phrases.
